On The Basis of Sex⸺ merupakan film yang ditulis oleh Mimi Leder yang bekerja sama dengan Robert W. Cort sebagai produser dan Daniel Stiepleman sebagai penulis. Film ‘On The Basis of Sex’mengangkat kisah nyata dari seorang Ruth Bader Ginsburg yang diperankan oleh Felicity Jones dalam memperjuangkan hak-hak perempuan dan menghapus diskriminasi gender. Ruth Bader Ginsburg adalah pengacara pertama yang bersikukuh di hadapan Mahkamah Agung AS bahwa sama halnya dengan klasifikasi ras, klasifikasi jenis kelamin harus dijadikan subjek standar peninjauan tertinggi (high standard review). Artinya pengadilan harus menghormati keputusan soal jenis kelamin yang sedang ditinjau meski sudah ada keputusan lain dalam tinjauan serupa.
